Acupuncture for Endometriosis

I offer gentle, personalised acupuncture to support your reproductive health and your wellbeing while living with endometriosis and pelvic pain. My clinic is a welcoming space where you’re listened to and never rushed, and your care is tailored to you.

Understanding Endometriosis

Endometriosis is a condition where tissue similar to the lining of the womb grows outside the uterus, often around the ovaries, fallopian tubes and other areas of the pelvis.

This can cause inflammation, pain and sometimes scar tissue, which may affect how you feel throughout your menstrual cycle and beyond.

For some women, symptoms are particularly difficult around their period. For others, pain can occur at different times of the month, or even every day.

Common symptoms include painful periods, pelvic or lower back pain, bloating, fatigue, discomfort during sex and changes in bowel or bladder habits. And some women have few or no noticeable symptoms.

Endometriosis can also affect fertility, particularly when inflammation, adhesions or changes within the pelvic environment affect the ovaries or fallopian tubes.

But having endometriosis doesn't necessarily mean you'll struggle to conceive. Many women become pregnant naturally, while others may need additional support.

Although endometriosis is often talked about in relation to fertility, it's about so much more than getting pregnant. Your comfort, energy, relationships and emotional wellbeing matter just as much.

Endometriosis – Understanding Your Body & Finding Balance

Living with endometriosis can be exhausting, especially when you're dealing with pain, fatigue and symptoms that seem to take over your everyday life.

Perhaps you've always had painful periods and assumed they were normal. Maybe you're struggling with bloating, pelvic discomfort or feeling completely drained at certain times of the month. Or perhaps you've recently been diagnosed and are finally beginning to understand why you've been feeling the way you have.

Whatever your experience, endometriosis affects every woman differently. There's no one-size-fits-all approach, and understanding what's happening in your body is a really important place to start.

How acupuncture for endometriosis fits alongside your care

Acupuncture can offer a gentle, supportive approach alongside your usual medical care, whether you're managing painful symptoms, looking after your general wellbeing or hoping to start a family.

Research suggests that acupuncture may help ease endometriosis-related pain and improve quality of life.

When you come to see me at my clinic in Cheadle, we’ll look at the bigger picture.

I'll take time to understand your menstrual cycle, your symptoms, where and when you experience pain, your sleep, energy, digestion and how you're feeling emotionally.

I understand how draining it can be to live with unpredictable symptoms, particularly if you've spent years trying to find answers or feel that your concerns haven't always been heard.

If you're trying to conceive, we'll also talk about your cycle, your fertility history and where you are on your journey, whether you're trying naturally or preparing for IVF.

My approach is always gentle and tailored to you, with a focus on helping you feel calmer, more comfortable and supported.
